“Grind Culture” can be construed as a trauma response to systems such as capitalism and white supremacy, which keep us in a cycle of working, going and going and to never stop until we drop from exhaustion, stress and work overload.
In this workshop, Daisy integrates Tricia Hersey’s “Rest is Resistance” framework with psychodrama sociometry and group psychotherapy as a transmission to open the portal of rest which disrupts the cycle of trauma related to “Grind Culture”.
Participants in this workshop will be invited to an online space where they can choose to bravely dismantle their roles connected to “Grind Culture”. Since education about Black Liberation and HIstory cannot be ignored, Daisy will center how Black Liberation and History can be utilized to create a new cultural conserve by warming up to our spontaneity.
