“Thriving Not Surviving”
Sociodrama Workshop on July 22, 2023
Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota, FL
We educated ourselves about human rights that belong to all of us.
After doing some warm-up exercises, we used our bodies to sculpt what it would look like to thrive.
We voted on a community issue and we co-created our play about a story that showed awareness about "Thriving not Surviving".
We acted out our awareness of inequality in our community story.
We shared our personal experiences and feelings in small groups. We then channeled them into the community story.
We shared our common values and differing perspectives. We listened to each other.
Daisy directed and educated us on how to co-create our community story. We experienced how to use our individual inner strengths and to build connections to create new and adequate solutions through sociodrama.
